Located only a few steps to the sand and pier, your fun by the sea is centrally located.  Surf stores are within walking distance of the Motel, and have surfboard, boogie board, kayak and wetsuit rentals.  Cayucos has been glorified recently in SURFER Magazine.  Also a day in a kayak might produce whale, dolphin, seal, and otter sightings.

In our breeze-way we also have an outdoor beach shower and microwave oven for all guests to enjoy.

Located a short distance from the beach and pier is Hardie Park.  A public area featuring Hardie Pool (open seasonally)  a children’s play area, horse shoe courts, picnic and BBQ facilities, and tennis courts!

Tide pooling is a fun low tide activity.  Our rocks display sea stars, sea anemones’, hermit crabs and the like.  Please be considerate and leave living animals in their home.  (It’s a State Law).

15 miles to the South is Montana De Oro State Park. A great place to explore, hike, and surf.

Biking and hiking trails are located nearby on the Estero Bluffs just north of Cayucos, and 15 miles away from Montana De Oro State Park.  A breathtaking drive with beautiful views of the estuary and sand dunes for those not so adventurous.

CAYUCOS is centrally located between San Simeon and the world famous Hearst Castle, and the wine country of Paso Robles.  Only 6 miles from the stunning Morro Rock in Morro Bay.  A short drive to Mission San Luis Obispo.

Antique stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and gift shops ae all within walking distance of the hotel.

Cayucos Pier

Cayucos attracts people from all over the world.  They often come to enjoy the main events held throughout the year such as car shows, antique fairs, wine and food events, music events and the very popular 4th Of July Celebration.  Please check the events calendar located on the Cayucos Chamber of Commerce web site to plan your visit in advance.

The fishing pier is one of the main focal points of this small beach Bird Sanctuary Close Bytown.  The State Beach has restrooms, showers, fire rings, and lifeguards on duty (seasonally).  A skateboard park is found at the pier parking lot.
